Already July!

Can you believe it is already July? Life is good! But it passes way to fast! Try as I may, it doesn't seem that I can get everything done in a timely fashion. Between updating Ebay, Unexpected Treasures webpage, my work at Wesley's, along with checking Facebook sometimes and life in general, I don't seem to be able to mesh my blog in with all this. 


Everyone is so sweet and complimentary of my inventory. It is amazing what sells and what doesn't! That has always been the impetus that makes my love of selling so much fun! Trying to figure out what the next person will find in my den of treasures! That includes myself...


There are so many small treasures that I keep discovering in my vast collection of 'stuff'. The following shakers are part of my smalls (small stuff). I had no idea that I had graduated sizes. All are for sale, individually or as a set.

Spring has definitely sprung! Despite all the rain, the pollen is still taking over! But this has not stopped the buying patrol! 

In the next weeks the new inventory will be posted and hopefully the next phase of the shoppe will be open. But until then, here is one corner of the shoppe, aka my office!

Spring is coming!!!

Eventhough we are getting a little cooler weather, Spring is trying its best to stay with us. Though it has come early so far this year, we are welcoming it with open arms and upturned faces.

I have posted a few new purchases on Unexpected Treasures Shoppe, so stop by and browse. If you see something on there that you would like to know more about, please call. Some of these things are a one time purchase and will not be available again. The urns, swans and decanter are such items.

Concrete Lawn Ornaments are available most of the time. But to be on the safe side, buy it when you want it. If you don't you may have to wait until a new shipment comes in! Birdbaths are a prime example. Sometimes they sell out in a week or less!

Since the last time I published my blog, I made a web page. That was so much fun!!! I purchased a load of concrete too, which consisted of birdbaths, garden benches, figures for the yard...I told you I had fun! I am like a kid in a candy shop when I go on a buying trip. Reigning in my enthusiasm is something that I have to practice on these occasions.

For those who remember when I previously sold concrete, I had a half acre strew with concrete statures. I am trying this time to re-group with a new layout.

Also the 'junktique' is growing! We have so many neat things. Here are a couple that may catch a collector's eye.

I happened to find some vintage Madame Alexander Dolls. I am by no means an expert on dolls, or to tell you the truth, I am not an expert on much of anything, but these dolls are extraordinary! They are in the original boxes with late 1970, early 1980 prices on some of the boxes! Check them out. If you are interested, call me while I can still get a few other theme dolls from my source!

I am restocking some of the favorite items that I have carried in the past. One is St. Francis. In a couple weeks I will pick up a load that will be displayed at Wesley's Automotive on Park Ave. with which I share billing as Unexpected Treasures Shoppe on Park.

Unexpected Treasures is starting to take form. My inventory is growing along with special requests from customers. Since our primary business is a working garage and I am the only 'girl' here, the guys want to have some manly things for sale. Since they are my backbone, I tend to want to please them. Future Plans

With plans to re-open Unexpected Treasures at Wesley's Automotive Service in Aiken, SC, the wheels have started to turn in my head! Great restraint has to be practiced to keep from buying too much inventory! What do I want to sell? What do I want to buy to sell? LOL! That is the hard thing! You have to sell it after you buy it, not keep it!!! Where do I store all this inventory until we finish the little shoppe on Park? So many questions!

So far I have decided where the 'shoppe' will be located at Wesley's Automotive, but now the waiting to get it ready!!! To quell my impatience at having to wait for my design team, Wesley and Michael, to finish my shoppe,  I will try to post pictures of a few items that will be for sale. If you are interested in these items before the shoppe opens, they will be available for purchase at Wesley's.
